This site is being updated on a regular basis, so check back in a few days to view the progress of this project. Meanwhile you may wish to view the visitors page or make any (sensible) comments which might reflect on our efforts. We have obtained many replacement items, either from our own resources or from other locations, and it has been necessary to fabricate many of the components from scratch, including replacements for the items lost by the National Motorcycle Museum since the fire. We have been given much assistance in the location of various components by Terry Vinicombe's widow, Maureen Hornby and her husband Colin. We have received invaluable amounts of original photographic material from the late John Flaxman's son, Richard and various other persons who are acknowledged accordingly. We are also indebted to Norman and Roy Hanks who kindly donated some original brake components. Other people involved in this restoration project are, of course, being acknowledged in turn as it progresses. We would still welcome any additional photos (including any taken at the NMM) or information about the outfit which can still assist us in connection with this project. We have, at least, had enough salvaged original components from the machine to work with. Some of the other machines involved in the fire have allegedly vanished completely and have never been traced or identified.
